Nicolet Ale Works began with a friendship that goes all the way back to high school. Ben and Jeremy had always shared a love of good beer, but as life took them in different directions and to different cities, they found themselves looking for ways to stay connected. In 2019, brewing became that thing. What started as a few conversations and a first batch brewed together through a local homebrew club quickly became something much more. Brewing gave two longtime friends a reason to get together, keep things fun and interesting, and create something remarkable side by side. Somewhere along the way, they realized they didn't just enjoy brewing beer together; they wanted to share it. That idea became Nicolet Ale Works.

Today, Ben and Jeremy are business partners, brewers, and the people behind the beer. They still love the process of creating something together, but now they're building something bigger: a brewery rooted in friendship, craftsmanship, Wisconsin, and the simple belief that great beer is better when it's shared. They're fortunate to be surrounded by people who believe in it, too. Family, friends, and supporters have encouraged the dream, rolled up their sleeves, offered ideas, and cheered them on every step of the way. 

Ben and Jeremy are proud of their German heritage and their deep Wisconsin roots. Wisconsin has a brewing tradition unlike anywhere else, and Nicolet Ale Works is proud to carry that tradition forward while creating something uniquely its own in the De Pere Alley District. Beer has always been about more than what's in the glass. It brings people together. It keeps friendships going. It gives us something to celebrate, something to create, and something to share.
